Company Artists

ALYSSA ALBERS
Alyssa Albers is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with a BA in Dance and BS in Business Administration. While there, she participated in works choreographed by Joan Karlen, Michael Estanich and Jeannie Hill, as well as renowned artists Melinda Myers, Jaclyn Walsh of Keigwin + Company, and Autumn Eckman. Albers has participated in the Giordano Dance Chicago company workshop and the Keigwin + Company summer intensive, held at The Julliard School in New York City. At both workshops, she worked directly with company members, learning repertory, company technique and various other classes. Albers has been working with WDC for the past few years, including traveling to Iquique, Chile.

HANNAH ALBERS
"Hannah Albers is an undergraduate at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities pursuing her BFA in Dance and Business Management Minor expected to complete her degree in Spring 2017. While at the University she has studied under Toni Pierce-Sands of TU Dance, Carl Flink of Black Label Movement, Joanie Smith of Shapiro & Smith, Ananya Chatterjea, Erin Thompson and Abdo Sayeigh-Rodriguez. In April 2015, she had the opportunity to perform with the Martha Dance Company on the Northrop stage. Albers has been a guest artist with Collide Theatrical, under the direction of Regina Peluso, in their production of “Romeo & Juliet”. Recently she has danced for Minneapolis based band Cold Kingdom in their music video for “Crash Poet”. Other artists Albers has worked with include: Maurya Kerr of Tiny Pistols, Wynn Fricke, Justin Jones, Luke Olson-Elm and Maria Caruso of Bodiograpghy Contemporary Ballet. She has been a member of Warped Dance Company, of Milwaukee WI, since 2012 performing in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Chicago."

MELISSA STERN
Melissa Stern received her BFA in Dance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. While a student, Melissa had the opportunity to perform in works originally created by Alwin Nikolais in New York City.
Stern has been with WDC for 7 years, during which she was able to perform in the Edinbourough Fringe Festival, Denvers Independent Chreographer's Project, The Uptown Performance Series NYC, and for the Elan Summer Dance Festival in Provincetown, MA. Most recently, she traveled with the company to Iquique, Chile in the dance festival FINTDAZ.

LAURALYN VOIGT
Lauralyn Voigt graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a BFA in Dance. While at UMTC she was in works by Uri Sands, Makeda Thomas, Marciano Santos and Irving Amigon. Voigt has performed at ACDF and several other festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Currently, Voigt is the Assistant Director at Lake Shore Dance as well as the Artistic Director for Danceit! Performance Ensemble. She was previously a member of Warped Dance Company from 2008-2010 and is thrilled to be working with the company again.
Apprentices

ALLY WADE
Ally Wade is currently a junior in high school. This will be her third year with Warped Dance Company and has performed in several Midwest venues with the company, such as Elgin Fringe Festival, MKE Follies and Joel Hall Center. She is enrolled at Lake Shore Dance and trains six days a week, teaching many of those days as well. Ally is also a member of Danceit!, a not-for-profit summer company that produces an annual fundraiser concert for an in-need cause. She is a member of a new Milwaukee-based multi-genre company- SueMo: A New Dance Experience created by Melissa Anderson and Morgan Williams.
